PURPOSE
To collect and disseminates information and plan research on combustion turbine inlet air-cooling (CTIAC) processes, materials, components, systems and costs as well as on analytical methods for evaluating
and predicting cooling and turbine power production and performance.
SCOPE
The scope of TC 8.7 covers all aspects of CTIAC systems, including but not limited to evaporative and sorption cooling, demisters, chilled water production, coils and storage, ice storage, absorption and vapor compression refrigeration, wet compression, energy analysis, and controls.
PARTICIPATION
Do you want to get involved in the work of this technical committee (TC)? If so, read through the pages of this site, attend the meetings of this TC and/or its subcommittees on Reseach, Program and Handbook. For more information contact the chairs of our Committee or subcommittees, or their members.
IMPORTANT NOTE
Please note that effective June 2006, TC 8.7 has merged with TC 1.10 (Cogeneration Systems) as its Subcommittee for Combustion Turbine Inlet Cooling (CTIC). The first meeting of this new subcommittee will be held on January 29, Monday, 4:15-5PM in Majestic 1 (37th Floor of Admas Mark Hotel).
